Great month of fishing Offshore we caught Cubera Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, and Striped Marlin. Inshore there has been smaller Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, Skip Jack, and small Mahi Mahi. A big plus this month inside the bay has been that it is whale season. We have been seeing huge whales jump out of the water while reeling in fish on 4 and 6 hour fishing charters. Offshore the Striped Marlin have been biting on live bait and we have also had luck trolling lures as well. Striped Marlin are the smallest of the Puerto Vallarta Marlin species averging 50-120 lbs. The Yellowfin Tuna have been biting at el Banco and also past the 2nd Island. The Tuna at El Banco have been between 20-80 lbs and past the islands have been 80-150 lbs. read more
